Inconsistent box placement is typically caused by variability in the pick position, box dimensions, or system speed. Review the following to identify and resolve the issue.
Box Pick Position Must Be Repeatable
Verify that the conveyor consistently delivers boxes to the same pick position. Inconsistent box sizes, shapes, bulges, or slanting can affect pick accuracy.
Drops of Any Distance Can Skew Placement
Adjust the box height and first box Z-position in the recipe. Ensure box heights are consistent, particularly on multi-layer pallets where variation compounds across layers.
Box Movement on Vacuum Cups
Reduce system speed and acceleration to minimize box swing during transport. Consider switching to vacuum cups with fewer bellows to reduce movement.
Layer Centering
Verify that distinct layers are properly centered in the recipe.
